Bahati Mp Kimani Ngunjiri has castigated Jubilee vice-chairman David Murathe and secretary general Raphel Tuju over their attacks on Deputy President William Ruto.
Ngunjiri hammered at the two leaders and called for party elections to replace the two.
" If people like Murathe are the ones speaking on behalf of Jubilee. We as Jubilee members we demand for party election," said Ngunjiri.
Ngunjiri questioned why Murathe has been silent during his visits in Central Kenya but makes anti-Ruto remarks while in Nyanza and Western.
"We are going to stand with the truth. We the people of Rift Valley are going to stand with DP Ruto for what he has done," he added.
During a burial in Rarieda on Saturday, Murathe said Ruto is not eligible to run for president in 2022 because his fate is constitutionally intertwined with the President’s.
He has vowed to block Ruto's journey to State House with the help of Supreme Court’s advisory opinion on the matter ahead of the 2022 election.
“Nobody can be Deputy President for more than two terms. Why does the constitution say that?" Murathe posed.
On his part, Raphel Tuju said that Jubilee party’s 2022 presidential choice is not yet sealed, and that Ruto should not celebrate that he will succeed President Kenyatta on a silver platter.
He added that he is still active in national politics and keen on who becomes Jubilee Party’s presidential candidate.
