Kisii County is ready to partner with more investors to boost the provision of medical services, Kisii Governor James Ongwae has said.
Speaking on Wednesday night at Mocha Hotel during a meeting with Inka Medical Association members, he said his administration will partner with those willing to boost the health sector in the county.
"I am pleased by a group of doctors and specialists from Gusii region under the Inka Medical Association umbrella who partnered with the Kisii County Government to organize a three-day free medical camp that came to a close today at Gusii Stadium. I wish to reiterate that as a government, we welcome more investors in the health sector for our people to get proper medical services," Ongwae noted.
He applauded the management of the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital, HEMA Hospital and Getembe Health Centre for their philanthropic gesture of giving back to the community.
"More medical camps will be conducted in future for Kisii residents to get screened of various ailments. I thank residents of Kisii County who turned up to get the free medical services that were being offered," he added.
The county boss affirmed that his government is doing everything possible to ensure more drugs are stocked in hospitals across the county for free issuance to patients.
