Police officers in Magena, Bomachoge Bobabu are yet to arrest suspects behind the murder a famous businessman in cold blood two weeks ago.
The businessman, Zabron Nyakibwoga was murdered by unknown people while he was going to his home after closing his business and his body dumped at the roadside few meters away from the area chief's camp.
The area chief Kennedy Orang'i on Sunday said police officers are still hunting down Nyakibwoga's killers.
"Investigation is still ongoing. The officers are following crucial leads and I am optimistic that the killers will be arrested and arraigned in court," said Orang'i.
The administrator confirmed that police officers have intensified security patrols in Magena market and assured traders of their security.
He also cautioned youths against joining criminal gangs.
"I want to assure traders their safety and encourage them to continue with their daily businesses without fear. Anyone with information about criminals should report to police for necessary action to be taken. Local youths joining gang groups to terrorize residents should know their days are numbered," the chief stated.
He also urged the tycoon's family to be patient noting that police officers are doing everything possible to bring the killers to book.
