On Wednesday, Maangi while speaking in Tabaka Ward, South Mugirango Constituency said the trip between the two leaders a  unity indication.

Maangi challenged politicians who are yet to forgive each other to follow Uhuru-Raila footsteps.

"It makes me happy to see Uhuru-Raila together. The China trip means the two leaders are together and have fully forgiven each other following the divisive 2017 polls," he said.

He confirmed that he will continue being a peace ambassador in the county.

The county second in command-challenged local politicians to shun divisive politics and follow Uhuru-Raila's example.

Maangi reiterated the need for residents and leaders who are having political differences to forgive each other.

"Uhuru-Raila will negotiate for a loan from the Chinese government which will help in the construction of SGR from Naivasha-Kisumu. It is a challenge to residents and local leaders to, therefore, learn to be together and forgive one another for the sake of peace, unity and harmony," he added.
