Nyamira Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo has been challenged by area leaders to vie for the governorship in 2022.
Speaking on Tuesday at a funeral service at Botimbai village in Magwagwa ward, area MCA Fred Nyachae challenged the Deputy Governor to make a decision on this.
"Though we have not reached the time we are supposed to start the 2022 politics, sometimes it's better to talk about it lightly," said Nyachae.
He added: "I would like to challenge our Deputy Governor to break the silence and tell us his next move in politics so that we also know how we will prepare ourselves in the 2022 polls. The earlier he breaks the silence, the better it will be for us to support him if possible."
The MCA's words were echoed by the several leaders including Mzee Omaiko Albert who urged the DG to consider running for the top seat in 2022.
