Youth and Gender Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary Rachael Shebesh continued with campaigns to popularise Building Bridges Initiative even before the report is tabled.
Mrs Shebesh has come out as one of staunch supporters of the BBI team from President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee wing, and has often accused DP William Ruto of sabotaging Uhuru.
At Garissa on Saturday, Shebesh led a host of other women MPs where they endorsed constitutional changes besides pushing for empowerment of youths.
"I am a government minister and and an advocate of peace. I thank Fred Matiang'i for doing all he can to stop radicalisation of youths. That's what we want."
She also said BBI will unite the country, adding that there is need for the executive to be expanded due to heterogeneous composition of Kenya's population.
Likoni MP Mishi Mboko lauded thousands who had turned up to witness the peace rally, adding that the movement, which supports the handshake is unstoppable.
"Things are HOT here just like the place and the people have come out in large numbers to listen to the message of peace, cohesion and development," she said.
Others present in the event were vocal Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi and her Homa Bay counterpart Gladys Wanga, a key ally of Mr Odinga.
Garissa is one of the region Handshake is depending on ahead of referendum. Already, Majority Leader Aden Duale has backed constitutional changes.
