A video of a driver assaulting a police officer went viral on Thursday.
In the video, a police officer and a man inside his Nissan March car can be seen struggling.
Residents rush to the scene where they help to save the police officer from the man's car. Unfortunately, the man drives away in a huff. The registration number of the car is KCT 730Q.
The police officer can be seen trying to hang on the car's front open door while moving. The video has now caught the attention of the police who have launched a manhunt for the driver.
According to the Nairobi Traffic Police Commander Joshua Omukata, the driver had caused an accident in Karen before taking off.
Police officers in Karen called their colleagues and alerted them of the car he was driving. He was spotted on Ngong Road next to the Nairobi Montessori Preparatory School.
He was flagged down and an officer got into his car before the scuffle ensued.
