Switch TV has confirmed the resignation of its Chief Operations Officer (COO) Joanna Gommans.
Gommans is said to have quit the job to pursue his personal business interests.
In a letter seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Joanna Gommans' resignation took effect on November 1, 2019.
“The Switch TV Board of Directors wishes to inform All stakeholders that the board has accepted the resignation of our Chief Operations Officer (COO), Joanna Gommans with effect from 1st November 2019, to pursue personal and professional business interests,” part of the statement reads.
The statement further notes that the outgoing COO will continue to offer necessary support to the company to ensure that her successor who is not yet known transits successfully.
Susan Ng'onga who is among board members is now the acting COO.
The TV station, however, praised Gommans for her perfect working skills that have seen the company prosper.
“The board expresses its appreciation to Joanna for her dedicated service to the company, as a founding staff member and one of the key drivers of Switch TV's development. The board wishes Joanna Gommans success in her future endeavours,” further read the statement.
