Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has announced a vacancy for the position of a CEO at Machakos Level 5 Hospital.
Mutua also announced intentions to recruit hospital managers at the facility in a bid of streamlining its management to improve service delivery.
The vacancies' announcements come shortly after the governor promised to modernize patients' hospitality, laundry, accommodation (bed) and catering services at Machakos Level 5 Hospital to international standards.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap leader who is on his final term in office has also asked all health workers to do their best and work 24 hours, 7 days a week, and dispensaries to open over the weekends with clear staff clock in/out roasters.
Mutua said this is to enhance the immediate provision of call rooms in hospitals, staff rest lounges, doctors rooms all to improve the general work environment of health professionals.
The county boss aims at streamlining and optimization of operations at the Level 5 Hospital's HDU and ICU including adding more beds at the facility.
Mutua made this move after he ordered the immediate refurbishment of Mwala, Kangundo, Kathiani & Matuu Level 4 hospitals to ensure optimal service including new operation theatre & dental services.
Mutua has been committed to providing better health care to Machakos residents before he completes his last term in office.
