US President Donald Trump on Thursday mocked climate activist Greta Thunberg, a move that attracted condemnation on social media.
Times Magazine on Wednesday honored the 16-year-old Swedish as the person of the year, something that didn't go well with the US president.
Ms Thunberg has been at the front line pushing for environmental conservation through her mass movement around the world.
"In the 16 months since (her protests began), she has addressed heads of state at the UN, met with the Pope, sparred with the president of the United States and inspired four million people to join the global climate strike," the magazine said on Wednesday.
However, President Trump did not seem pleased, taking to his Twitter account few hours later to take a jab at the teenager.
Reacting to the honour, Trump on Thursday tweeted: "Greta must work on her anger management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend!"
Trump had been shortlisted for the 2019 Time honour. "Chill, Greta, Chill!" he added on Twitter.
Thunberg appeared to respond by changing her Twitter profile bio to read: "A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend."
It's not the first time the president is going ballistic against people. In 2015, he accused German Chancellor Angela Merkel of "ruining" the country.
In America, he's persistently at loggerheads with congresswoman IIhan Omar, who was born in Somalia.
