Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has told off a section of leaders who are claiming that he is selfish.
According to Maangi, his vision in matters politics and leadership is beyond 2022.
"I am not selfish as people claim. I wish to reiterate that no one is seeing what am seeing. In matters leadership and politics my vision is beyond 2022," he stated.
Maangi noted that he initiated the Obomo Bwomogusii alone with the sole purpose of uniting the Gusii community.
He assured that he is not going to be tired working with leaders who are willing and ready to champion for development in Kisii county and Kenya as a whole.
"Gusii community members and leaders must unite and speak in one voice. My vision once I become governor in 2022 is to see our people having access to good roads, access to affordable medical care and proper education for our children," he added.
Maangi is a close ally to Deputy President William Ruto and he has been attending a series of events presided over by DP Ruto.
He is serving a second term as Kisii County Deputy Governor.
