Orange Democratic Movement deputy party leader Wycliffe Oparanya has insisted that the party is not interested to interfere with rivals.
Speaking on Saturday in Kakamega, Oparanya, who also doubles up as the county governor, said he will not sit and watch young leaders being intimidated.
The county boss said he's ready to receive Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala to the party, adding that ODM gives room for young leaders.
"The wrangles in other parties, ODM cannot be part of them. When I see young men like Osotsi and Malala, who should take leadership from us are under siege, I welcome them to ODM," he said.
"I have no problem. I am the party leader and I will welcome you there. We must work for the people," added Mr Oparanya, a key pointsman for Raila Odinga in Western Kenya.
Mr Malala was recently suspended from the party for campaigning for ODM candidate Imran Okoth in Kibra.
His ANC party had fielded Eliud Owalo.
Last week, ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna vowed to have the party supporting Malala should he lose his seat after the disciplinary process.
But a section of leaders allied to the Orange party in Kakamega accused Sifuna of undermining local leadership through his utterances.
“We would like to ask our Party Leader Raila Odinga and his deputy Wycliffe Oparanya to stop Sifuna from claiming that he will be dishing out party certificates to his friends who are not even members of the party,” said Leonard Kasaya.
The leaders accused Sifuna of planning to wreck the party in Kakamega by fighting the branch leadership whose chairman is Deputy Governor Philip Kutima.
