The Kenyan government has been asked to publish and make public a report on the death of Archbishop Alexandar Kipsang Muge.
Speaking on Sunday in Eldoret, the Anglican Church of Kenya Emeritus Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi said the publication of the report would help in bringing about a level of closure to the matter.
"There was a commission to speak about his death and then that commission that commission has not reported about that death. And the people in Eldoret are still waiting, the family is still waiting, " Archbishop Emeritus Benjamin Nzimbi said.
He went on to say that the family of the late religious leader deserved at the very least to know the circumstances of his death.
Kipsang Muge reportedly died along the Eldoret-Bungoma highway in an accident in August, 1990.
A commission of inquiry was formed with a view of establishing the circumstances of his death.
Nzimbi made the appeal during a thanksgiving service in honour of Muge.
Muge is said to have been a politically conscious religious leader who championed for social justice.
His death took the country by storm.
Failure to make public the report has led to a number of conspiracy theories on what happened to him.
