Maangi who over the weekend graced the homecoming ceremony of Vincent Ariemba Moisabi Member of County Assembly for Riana Ward at Nyamage in Bonchari Constituency appealed to the electorates of Bonchari to preserve their votes for him.

"I am here today to request you stand with me when the time comes so that we can take the leadership of our county to the next level. I urge the electorates of Bonchari to remain united and throw their weight behind me in 2022," noted Maangi.

The Deputy Governor dismissed his opponents who are spreading propaganda about him ahead of the 2022 polls saying his close association with Deputy President William Ruto is personal and has nothing to do with 2022 polls.

"I should be given humble time to meet my friends like DP Ruto. Critics should focus on 2022 polls and leave me alone," he added.

In attendance at the function was Eng. Pavel Oimeke, the Director-General of the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority, former Kisii County Assembly Majority Leader and Bomariba ward MCA Protus Moindi among other leaders.

Thousands of residents also attended the ceremony.
