Mediamax owned K24 television has rebranded to meet changing audience needs.
One of its major moves is airing of Saturday English Premier League games that will attract local fans of the English League.
Most Kenyans support Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham FC among others.
“K24 relaunch is a strategic response to the market needs in a disruptive digital era that requires injection of creative execution and delivering content on-demand to a younger and sophisticated audience. Our goal is to deliver content in real-time, shift from traditional programming style and push more videos,” said Mediamax acting Chief Executive Officer Ken Ngaruiya during the launch on Friday.
Head of TV and Digital revealed that the move is aimed at targetting young viewers. Some of the changes that have been successful are www.k24tv.co.ke website, Punchline News and Weekend with Betty.
“This new look marks a revolutionary change in our culture and reflects a twenty-first-century and sparkling channel with diverse and highly appealing content,” said Mediamax’s Group Head of TV and Digital, Peter Opondo.
Mediamax is expanding its business across the nation in radio, television and online content. Meru FM, Msenangu FM, Emoo Fm, Mayian FM, Kameme FM and Kameme TV are under Mediamax.
