The video is said to be of an incident said to have transpired in 2017.

Law enforcement authorities in Fresno, California have reached the conclusion that the shooting was justified after reviewing the circumstances of the shooting.

Washington Post reports that Fresno police boss shielded officers who killed the teen from blame, saying that the Internal Affairs Bureau of the police ruled that the killing was justified.

"The use of lethal force, in this case, occurred while officers were investigating a homicide. The 16-year-old in this case was involved in the homicide with his brother and the brother was later arrested and pled guilty," Hall said.

The killing of Isiah Murrieta Golding was released by the lawyer of his family with critics calling for action to be taken on the officers who fired the deadly shots.

"The city was so adamant that the officer ‘feared for his life’,”  the lawyer told the Guardian on Thursday.

“Why were they hiding the video? If a picture speaks a thousand words, then the video speaks a million words, " he added.

Murrieta's parents have filed separate lawsuits against the city.
