Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga has told Kenyans to brace for mega changes after the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) set for Tuesday.
The vocal lawmaker says that the same will shake the nation to the core and at the same time lead to a complete reorganization of the political setup in the country.
She told the Sunday Standard that what will follow will be a total shaking of the nation's political foundation, adding that ODM leader Raila Odinga will be among the major winners.
"Kenya will politically never be the same again and of course Raila will emerge out of this stronger than ever before,” said the vocal politician, a close ally of the former Premier.
Her remarks were echoed by Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu, a strong supporter of the BBI and President Uhuru Kenyatta, who (Uhuru) founded the initiative alongside Raila in 2018.
According to the youthful parliamentarian, the release of the report will be a victory for both leaders, and might throw those who have been opposing it off the balance.
He hoped that those already on the opposition side will embrace better ways of doing so, so as not to divide Kenyans in the process.
"There are those who have been scaremongering about BBI. Once the report is out, we are sure they will only change their tactic of fighting it. We hope they will not divide the country,” he said.
Already, both Uhuru and Raila have pledged their readiness to popularize the suggestions contained in the document once released.
