Dennis Itumbi has dismissed a screen grab showing a tweet allegedly from Deputy President William Ruto.
The screenshot, purportedly from Dr William Ruto claims that he's set to ditch Jubilee party for URP to resuscitate his embattled political career.
Itumbi has identified a number of falsehoods in the tweet, arguing that Dr Ruto doesn't use an iPhone to tweet.
According to him, for URP to come to the scene once again, it must take at least 10 years from 2017 based on the clause they signed.
"Obviously Fake.1. DP @WilliamsRuto tweets using Android not IPhone2. All parties signed a sunrise clause of 10 years - URP can only return in 2027.3. What time is 5:5am?4. It shows Retweeted on @Twitter NOT ReTweeted Even Photoshop lies require a little research!" he wrote.
Dr Ruto has often maintained that he's going to remain in Jubilee, which is set to hold party polls for the first time in March this year.
President Uhuru Kenyatta remains the party leader while Dr Ruto is the interim deputy. The party was formed in 2017.
In recent weeks, it has been exposed to storm, with leaders allied to Dr Ruto clashing publicly with Uhuru's allies.
