1. Opening bottles
Opening bottles can lead to breakage of the tooth making it appear in bad shape. Using teeth on cutting most items can result in breakage. This can create openings for tooth decay. It is of great importance to use bottle openers or any other techniques but not the teeth.
2. Applying much pressure when brushing
Brushing too hard makes the toothbrush flip off from getting between the teeth to remove any food debris. This can lead to the growth of bacteria affecting the gums that lead to tooth decay. Hard brushing and also tough toothbrushes also expose the teeth to staining and due to an erosion of the enamel.
3. Using toothpicks
Using a toothpick to remove any food stuck between the teeth is not a good idea. The toothpick can break off and injure the gum causing different gum related diseases.
