South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro has touched hearts of his electorates after he offered to build a new house for an 80-year-old woman.
Osoro while traversing the constituency during the Christmas eve to share and show love he received a warm reception from the elderly woman identified Nyaboke at Kebabe area in Chitago ward.
"I was so moved by her welcoming remarks in her grass-thatched house oblivious of its leaking roof. Sitting next to her utensils,mama covered her back with a warm blanket to protect herself from the cold oozing strongly from one condemned wall," wrote osoro on Facebook.
He added; "Even with that, she still had hope that someday, she will live a decent life. Well, today we started the process of putting a decent home for our grand-mum. We delivered materials today and the actual work commences on Saturday."
Osoro said the overjoyed Mama Nyaboke and the community were happy couldn't let us leave their village.
The youthful lawmaker noted that as a sign of appreciation Mama Nyaboke gifted him with a healthy chicken which he opted to slaughter with her when the new house will be officially opened.
