Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Thursday hosted a delegation from the World Bank at his Capitol Hill offices in Nairobi.
As the African Union High Representative for Infrastructure Development, Raila held talks with the delegation led by World Bank Vice President for Infrastructure Mukhtar Diop.
In a tweet, he said the agenda of the meeting revolved around project initiatives funded by the institution across the continent.
The former prime minister added that their meeting also brought under discussion the plans and strategies the World Bank seeks to use to achieve the projects.
"Hosted a delegation from World Bank led by their Vice President for Infrastructure, Mukhtar Diop and had an engaging discussion on various projects and initiatives they are funding on the African continent. We also discussed their future plans and strategies to achieve them," he wrote.
Raila, also a former Minister for Energy, Roads, Public Works and Housing Minister took over the job after his nomination in October last year.
Though he has a fully furnished office in Ethiopia, Raila has been spending most of his time in the country, where he is also a major player in the mainstream political arena.
His appointment came only months after his March 9, 2018, truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
