Kitutu Chache South Member of Parliament Richard Onyonka had called for deliberations between the warring sides seeking constitutional changes.
On one side is Thirdway Alliance leader Ekuru Aukot's Punguza Mizigo Bill and on the other is the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI)-backed faction led by ex-premier Raila Odinga.
With the two sides currently engaged in a way of words, with each rubbishing the other's bid, Onyonka now wants a meeting of the leaders and all the remaining top politicians.
He on Wednesday stressed on the need for a meeting between Aukot, who appears all alone, and Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta for a possible merger of the two.
He added that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress (ANC) boss Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) who are also for the BBI should also be part of the meeting.
"Let Aukot look for these leaders so that we can merge practical issues proposed by the Punguza Mizigo and BBI (Aukot awe na njia, atafute hawa viongozi ili yale maneno practical we merge them kutoka Punguza Mizigo na BBI)," he said on Radio Citizen's Mjadala Wa Citizen show on Wednesday.
He further observed that Aukot will never realise his intentions to among others introduce a nonrenewable seven-year presidential term, with the top leaders on the opposing side.
According to the MP, with the larger group of more influential leaders on one side, it is very likely that they will have their way, crushing Aukot's bid on their way.
"If you look carefully, you will realise that all those leaders are against it (ukiangalia, viongozi hawa wote wamekataa)," he added.
The BBI, according to Raila, will bring forth a referendum to expand the executive arm of the government and also return the nation to the initial parliamentary governance system.
