Otile Brown released a song titled Dala Dala featuring fast rising Kenyan band Ethic Entertainment. The song however featured only two members of Ethic Entertainment; Swat and Seska.
Shortly after the premier of the song on You Tube, a section of Kenyans expressed their disappointment over the absence of Reckles who has been dubbed as Ethic’s main man.
A recent video shared on Ethic Entertainment’s Instagram page has revealed that despite Reckles missing out on the song, he was actually present during its recording.
He video shows Seska in the booth rapping his part during the audio recording of the song. Shortly after finishing his verse, a crowd is heard cheering outside the booth where he producer is. Among the members of the crowd is Reckles.
Initially, one would have assumed that Reckles’ absence on the song would have been because he was not physically available. The latest revelation therefore begs the question; Why was Reckles absent in Ethic Entertainment’s first local collaboration with an established artiste like Otile Brown? Did he personally refuse to take part in it?
Reckles has been viewed as Ethic’s main man due to his significance to the four-man band. He always does the intro and the chorus; two critical parts in music production. And the best part is that he always nails it.
Ethic Entertainment has however remained silent on the matter.
