According to political analyst Martin Andati, the CS has made it a habit to ignore court orders in his official capacity.

In an interview on Monday, he stated that so many times that the CS has ignored such to an extent that it is now clearly open that he is practising contempt of court.

"CS Matiang'i has been ignoring many court orders (CS Matiang'i amekuwa akipuuza orders mingi za mahakama)," he said in an interview on Radio Maisha.

He based his argument on Matiang'i's alleged refusal to abide by the orders ordering his office to allow lawyer Miguna Miguna back into the country after his deportation in Canada.

The commentator warned that the CS's actions might end up affecting him too in the long run, should he need the intervention of the courts in the coming days.

According to Andati, it will be very hard for the CS to get a favourable ruling from the courts, even an audience, as a payment for his disregard for court orders.

"When things go wrong, Matiang'i will find himself in trouble as it is in court where all things are levelled (Matiang'i, mambo ikiharibika, atajipata taabani maana mambo yote husawazishiwa mahakamani)," he added.

Miguna has also lamented that he is yet to be issued with a new valid passport, as was ordered by the court after the state allegedly confiscated and destroyed his.
