Ben Mbatha, popularly known as Kativui, is one of the leading Kamba music benga maestros.
The 'Kyaume' boy band leader is a sensational singer with hits like 'Manzala' 'Makinya makwa' 'Kumina dawa' and 'Mali'.
Kativui who is also known as 'King'aui' has a huge following and is quite famous because of his fast dance moves and funny lyrics.

1. He started his music career as a vocalist
He was a vocalist in the Ken Wa Maria-led Yatta boy band back in the days. He had a fight with Ken and they later parted ways.
Kativui started his own band and released songs like 'Malanga aa twiikanata namo tata' which was addressed to Ken Wa Maria.
Ken in response released 'Kavaluku na Nzou' in which he accused Kativui of being ungrateful despite helping him become a popular artist.
2. He is a solo guitarist
Kativui is one of the leading Kamba solo guitarists in the country.
In many of his songs, he praises his skills in playing the guitar. His guitar skills have also earned him praise from fans.
3. He has sixteen albums under his name
Some of the albums released by Kativui include 'Nithiawa ni kimonda', 'Manzala' and his latest album 'Ngaati sukalini'.
