City lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has slammed the tribunal that was tasked to determine Supreme Court judge Jackton Ojwang's fate.
Ahmednasir faulted the tribunal for clearing Ojwang in what he termed as a flawed case before the tribunal.
"...Ati....Justice Ojwang was cleared by the Justice Visram Tribunal...ahaaaaaa...only a BANANA REPUBLIC do such MAD things happen...NO HEARING...NO WITNESSES...NO NOTHING...and Visram and his team prepare a report without hearing a single witness...and clear OJWANG of allegations," tweeted Ahmednassir on Sunday.
Justice Ojwang had been accused of gross misconduct, impropriety, conflict of interest and breach of judicial code of conduct that saw JSC recommending President Uhuru Kenyatta in March to form a tribunal to investigate him.
The tribunal led by Justice Alnasir Visram has since absolved the Supreme Court judge of any wrongdoing.
"After adducing and analysing all the allegations made against the Honourable Justice, the unanimous verdict is that the Judge of the Supreme Court Justice Jackton Ojwang is innocent of all the allegations made against him and that he should resume his duties immediately,” he said.
Ambrose Weda, Festus Azangalala, Sylvia Muchiri, Amina Abdalla and Lucy Kambuni are among tribunal members.
Ahmednassir has since called for the disbandment of Judicial Service Commission (JSC) stating that it is a let down to the presidency.
"It's the high time that we DISBAND the JSC...for the office of the President out of SPITE has made it clear that when it recommends a judge for REMOVAL... the president will appoint STOOGES who hear the case in camera and acquite (sic) the judge without hearing the case..even for day."
