While it is a wish for most people that they become good bosses at their workplaces, sometimes it is hard to tell whether you are a good one or not.

To help you with that, the following are key indicators you are a good boss;

1. You don't have favourite staffs

A good boss treats all his or her staff on equal ground and measures, the reverse is when only a few staff members are considered when it is a promotion etc.

2. You welcome new changes

A good boss is willing to welcome new changes and improved ways of performing. He/she is ready to try new innovations suggested by staff.

3. You are concerned about your staff's efforts and not their perfection

A good boss knows learning is a continuous process, in that when the staff are not giving perfect results, the boss would look at the efforts they are putting in what they do and build on it.

4. A good boss is observant

If you can keenly observe what your staff are doing, and even detect downfall even before it happens, then you are a good boss.

5. You share your expertise with your staff

A good boss does not see his or her juniors as his rivals, and stop coaching to become better than him or her. Boss is always developing a good team behind him or her.
