Igembe North Member of Parliament Maoka Maore has termed the ongoing 'hustler versus dynasty' debate a diversionary tactic by the Tangatanga brigade.
Allies of Deputy President William Ruto have been drumming up support for him on grounds that he hails from a humble background, and therefore relatable to Kenyans' woes.
On the other hand, they have been claiming that there is a plot by members of notable political families, whom that have dubbed 'dynasties', to gang up against the DP in a bid to scuttle his bid.
But Maore says that this is just a plot to enable the DP to have it easier ascending to the presidency in the 2022 general elections without being questioned on his credentials.
The MP has termed it a trick to divide the nation into two and incite Kenyans against the said dynasties while hoodwinking Kenyans into supporting the DP without questioning his ability to deliver in that capacity.
"The tangatanga team has always said they are the ‘hustler nation’; this is just meant to foul the air and create a toxic environment dividing ‘us vs them’. This so as Kenyans forget to ask about credentials and what they are able to deliver," he said on Citizen TV's Day Break on Monday.
This comes barely a week after President Uhuru Kenyatta, one of the said dynasties, warned that the hustler narrative won't benefit its founders.
Also enlisted in the group is ODM leader Raila Odinga who has coincidentally reunited with Uhuru, further stressing the claim that they have reunited to block Ruto from the presidency.
Baringo Senator Gideon Moi who has also backed their truce is also enlisted as part of the team, alongside former Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi.
