In a statement released to the media houses on Tuesday, Mutua said that there is the need for the county bosses to find a way of speaking in one voice for the sake of uniting the region rather than engaging in unnecessary sideshows.

He asked the leaders not to sideline Former Vice President Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka during the organization of the meetings to avoid disuniting.

“I propose a meeting involving His Excellency Kalonzo Musyoka, the three governors, senators and all MPs to speak with one voice because it is this form of unity of purpose for BBI that President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga envisaged,” he said.

Mutua argued that there is a need for the region to remain united if they want to realize the development goals.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leaders also said that they will be sending a wrong message to their people if they decide to hold separate meetings yet they are addressing the same needs.

The governor noted that unity of purpose is critical for the sake of the growth of the region.
