Mueke claimed that Tangatanga has now realized that the handshake is growing stronger by holding bigger rallies which happen to be funded by the government.

"Tanga Tanga now saying they’re part of BBI is a political strategy. Tanga tanga members have realized the handshake team is holding very big rallies funded by the Government," Jonathan Mueke said

The former deputy governor of Nairobi County comment came after DP Ruto's allies told the press conference on Tuesday that they will be attending the BBI rallies.

With a team led by senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen, he said that they will be attending the rallies starting with the next rally which is to be held in Mombasa.

"We will be participating in all public BBI rallies across the country and this weekend we will be in Mombasa together with the BBI team," Murkomen told a press conference in Nairobi

The Tanga tanga leaders decided to join BBI rallies after a series of discriminating the rally, saying that it's a wastage of public funds.

According to them, they preferred the publication of the BBI report over the rallies which are to be held over different parts of the country.
