Joseph Kuria Irungu, the man police have marked as key suspect in the murder of Monica Kimani, drove a KCSE candidate crazy with mad love while still in Form Two.
According to his ex-classmates at Langa Langa secondary school, Irungu alias Jowie was so swift in seduction during his teenage years at the school that he stole the heart of the Form Four girl.
“With a baby face and being brown drove girls nuts,” a former classmate said.
The friend said that Jowie’s role in his church’s choir made him a young confident man which was a boost to his seduction escapades.
It seems this is a character Jowie cultivated into his adulthood as members of his partying squad were always smitten by the choice of women he could win.
Described as a charming seducer who can sweep any woman off her feet, Jowie won any woman he wanted.
In his list of ex-lovers are what Nairobians call fyn ghels.
A source who spoke to a weekly outlet, the Nairobian, also recollected of a Form Four girl at Langa Langa secondary being scolded for dating a ‘Form Two boy’.
It also emerged that the suspect was not an academic giant as he scored 298 marks in his KCPE despite being schooled at the prestigious Carol Academy in Nakuru.
