On Friday, Uhuru visited Uasin Gishu county for the relaunch of the Rift Valley Textile factory, known as Rivatex, in the company of DP William Ruto and area leaders.

According to Oluoch, Uhuru's move had another function which was to deal with the source of the noises that have been hindering his leadership lately.

Speaking on Monday, he observed that the same was a deliberate move to penetrate into the vast Rift Valley region which has been in the front line in questioning his moves.

"In my view, the timing of the President’s visit to Eldoret was very deliberate. I think the idea was to go to Rift Valley and tackle where most noise is coming from," he said on National TV.

Ruto's allies, mostly from Rift Valley region, have been pressuring Uhuru to state his stand on Ruto's 2022 presidential bid, which he initially vowed to back.

The team has also been largely against the March 2018 handshake with Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga.
