Former Mukurweini Member of parliament Kabando Wa Kabando now wants the fabled United States of America (USA) law enforcement agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to be called in, to help deal with the criminal issues Kenya is grappling with.

Writing on Twitter on Friday, the outspoken former legislator held the view that the problems of corruption, drug trafficking, and impunity in arms of government are proving hard to reverse.

He appeared to suggest that the FBI working with the Kenyan law enforcement authorities would go along way in reversing that trend.

"Corruption, ILLICIT DRUGS, militia, guns in wrong hands greatest THREATS to prosperity, peace, stability. IMPUNITIES: political, judicial, police. Some politicians high on narcotics; are drug-peddling rings. Tough reversing. Let's call @FBI to aid @NPSOfficial_KE tackle crisis, " he wrote.

The FBI is an elite agency that is primarily involved in probing complex criminal occurrences.

It boasts of state of the art investigative tools and rigorously trained officers that make it one of the best investigative bodies in the world.

The body investigates terrorism, cyber-crime, white-collar crime, and violent crime among other crimes according to its website.

It prides itself in impartiality as it does not take sides in politics to ensure that its integrity is not compromised.
