The former NRG Radio presenters Andrew Kibe and Kamene Goro were on Monday temporarily barred from taking up their new roles at Radio Africa’s Kiss 100 by a Nairobi court.
The duo had been sued at the Employment and Labour Relations Court by NRG Radio over breach of non compete and the fact that they left the station without serving the correct notice period.
They left their station a few days after announcing that will be leaving to host Kiss 100 Breakfast Show.
According to a source who spoke with Edaily, this case will get ugly as time goes by and more revelations will be made.
“They woke up one day and told the management that they were leaving. They informed the company of their leaving on a Tuesday and left three days later. Their notice was supposed to be one month.
The non-compete details that the two would have spent sometime off-air to give the station some time to reorganize their strategy and look for replacements,” said the source as quoted by Edaily.
Kibe and co-host Kamene Goro were to begin work at Kiss 100 on July 1, 2019. They were to replace former Kiss 100 top presenter Adelle Onyango who resigned from the top radio station after being the host for years.
