With his retirement expected to be in 2022, President Uhuru Kenyatta will only be 60 years and thus the youngest president to exit from power.

But television host Tony Gachoka insists that it's only former Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe who is of the opinion that Uhuru remains in power.

"AA @ahmednasirlaw the staying in office by .... Uhuru is not Murathe’s opinion ... I have heard it discussed very high up! ... @OleItumbi should concentrate on DP Ruto strategy for power ... while when the time comes Uhuru @StateHouseKenya will speak for himself @WehliyeMohamed," he tweeted.

Mr Murathe has caused jitters within the Jubilee administration, often commenting on critical matters. Known to be a close ally of Uhuru, Murathe recently said that Uhuru will be Prime Minister after serving as the head of state.

“Nothing stops the President, as the leader of Jubilee, to head the government as the Executive Prime Minister as long as the party remains the largest in Kenya.”
