Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang has claimed that ODM will win Kibra's by-election slated for November this year.
However, Kajwang' argued that the party's win would be actualized only if it conducts a free and fair nomination exercise that will settle on a formidable candidate to fly its flag.
In an interview with Citizen TV shared on Facebook on Monday, the vocal senator said Kibra by-election candidates would be competing at a time when the opposition is working with the government and therefore, campaigns are expected to be more of issues and less of name-calling.
"We are in a situation where the hard lines that were there in the last general elections have faded. Almost everyone is talking about the government and supporting it," argued Kajwang'.
The Senator who is Raila Odinga's close ally further exuded confidence that ODM has an 'upper hand' and would 'carry the day'.
"I can say, with a lot of certainties, that ODM has an upper hand and shall carry the day in Kibra if we do our nominations properly & present a candidate who is acceptable to the people," he said.
Furthermore, Kanjwang' expressed hope that the ODM party will establish measures to ensure that a free and fair nomination is carried out.
