Former Igembe North Member of Parliament Joseph M'eruaki has taken issue with the latest happenings within the ruling Jubilee Party whose member he is.
Speaking on Wednesday night, the ex-parliamentarian expressed his dislike for a number of things, including the confusion surrounding the Kibra by-elections.
Some politicians have openly announced that they will not be backing Jubilee's McDonald Mariga, but will be with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) aspirant Imran Okoth, among them Nominated MP Maina Kamanda.
Mr M'eruaki found it childish that Jubilee is now turning into a party where members can openly behave in such manner, advising that President Uhuru's truce with ODM leader Raila Odinga in 2018 should not be used to justify such actions.
"Jubilee is now showing us childish behaviours as its only her members who are declaring support for ODM candidate. The handshake never killed the party (Jubilee sasa inatuonyesha mambo ya utoto. Ni watu wa Jubilee wanaenda kussuport mtu wa ODM. Handshake haikuua Jubilee)," he said.
He spoke on Radio Citizen's Pata Shika, a segment of Porojo Show, also attended by former Langata MP aspirant Stanley Livondo, former Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambu and hosted by presenter Kamau Munyua.
He also took jabs at the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) taskforce, observing that its awaited report will not be anything far from a referendum, as has been predicted by Raila.
The ex-lawmaker observed that the view collection sessions and the report writing are only aimed at fooling Kenyans into believing that the outcome reflects the opinions of Kenyans.
"The BBI was only a public relation stunt. They had already been directed on what to write (BBI ilikuwa public relations tu, wale walishapewa vitu za kuandika)," he added.
