Nyandarua Woman Representative Faith Gitau has become the latest leader to declare her support for the ongoing Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) campaign.
The MP says that she is among leaders who backed the BBI report from the start, and was even ready to approve it at the parliament had that been the best implementation method.
Speaking in Nyandarua on Wednesday, she stated that following President Uhuru Kenyatta's appeal to have it taken back to Kenyans, then the necessary followups should be done.
The lawmaker stated that copies of the report should be released to members of the public, especially in the county, before any BBI rally or meeting is held there.
"The president said that the residents should be allowed to decide on the route the initiative should take but as a leader from here, I can say that we have not seen any copy of the report here," she said.
Uhuru has lauded the BBI initiative as the push that will heal the country from its recurrent ailment of post election wrangles and exclusion of other communities from leadership.
The same is the stand of ODM leader Raila Odinga, with whom the president founded the BBI in March 2018.
