Soy MP Caleb Kositany has alleged that the BBI team had never sought the opinion of any leader from Uasin Gishu county while drafting their report.
In an interview shared by Citizen TV on the Facebook account on Tuesday, Kositany noted that all leaders from Uasin Gishu including him had never been invited to a BBI forum to give their views on the same proposal.
He revealed that it was an invitation forum whereby, some people were invited while others were left out.
"Non of the elected leaders in Uasin Gishu was invited and the keyword here was 'invited' because people were being invited," Kositany said.
The MP also argued that the process of amending the constitution should be open and inclusive and not secretive like it was being done with the BBI.
According to the legislator, the proposals in the BBI taskforce might be good for Kenyans but the publicization of the same was poor because the process used to collect views from by the concerned team was shoddy.
The DP Ruto's close ally further took issue with the ODM leader Raila Odinga for terming an initiative which was supposed to unite Kenyans a 'tsunami' that would 'wipe away others'.
"If we would have to build bridges why is there a tsunami?" wondered Kositany.
However, he said that he, together with like-minded leaders would wait for a draft report in order to make a decision whether to support or reject the proposals.
