Political analyst Ambrose Weda has faulted ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula over their last minute appearance at Bukhungu Stadium on Saturday last week.
The two made a sudden appearance at the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) forum in Kakamega, after anticipation that they were to attend a parallel rally in Mumias.
Weda says that the move was informed by arrogance, claiming that the two have confirmed the rumour that they lack a stand, and only went there to save their political careers.
According to him, the two leaders only went there upon learning that the stadium was packed, and their absence would see their supporters would change their view of them.
"Its ignorance, leaders without vision and who don't even know whats good for Kenyans and even themselves. When they heard that there is a crowd there and the people might leave them is when they headed there," he said.
Weda, also a High Court advocate, made the remarks in an interview on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation on Wednesday morning.
He also pointed out that their speech was also out of place, as they did not address the initiative being discussed at the function.
"Even their speeches were baseless, they did not address anything reasonable," he added.
In their address, the two largely hit out at a section of outsiders who they accused of demonizing them and accusing them of being against the BBI campaign.
COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli, one of the leaders who played a major role in making the forum a success, claimed that he convinced Mudavadi to avail himself at Bukhungu.
