A fourth year Bachelor of Education male student at Moi University, main campus was on Saturday found dead in his room.
The body of the student was reportedly found by his friends who had gone to visit him.
The cause of death still remains unknown, as the student is said to have been well the previous day.
However, according to media reports, some medicine was found in the room next to the body.
“When we entered into his house, the door was open. I checked on the bed only to meet his lifeless body,” a student said.
Kesses Sub-County Police Commander Aaron Muriasi confirmed the incident, adding that investigations have began to establish the cause of death.
“We have embarked on investigation to ascertain the cause of this mysterious death. It is too early to speculate about the cause of the death, the body has been taken to MTRH mortuary for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of this death,” Muriasi said.
A post-mortem is expected to be conducted next week to determine the possible cause of death.
