Deputy President William Ruto was recently turned into 'small god' while attending a rally in Bumula constituency, Bungoma County.
Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa raised a lot of questions when she remixed one the church songs and turned it into a political song that glorified DP Ruto.
The song 'Hakuna wa kufanana nawe' (there is none like you God) which is used to praise God in churches was changed in a manner that the noun God was removed, making it a political song that praised the DP.
The move by Aisha Jumwa has been received with mixed reactions by Kenyans.
Bishop Godfrey Migwi of House of Hope in Kayole, Nairobi has since penned down a letter to the DP, asking him to "apologize to the body of Christ and repent for his life, peace, and political journey's sake".
Through his letter dubbed "Letter to the Deputy President of Kenya", shared on Facebook, the Bishop said if Ruto will keep on allowing his supporters to praise and worship him, he will eventually go through what King Herod went through during his time, which is death.
"King Herod died with belly disease for allowing poor people from Tyre and Sidon to praise him like god just because he gave them food and they relied on him for food, so he was eaten by 🐛 worms and died," read his letter in part.
The Bishop added that he was playing his part as a messenger of God before distancing himself from politics.
