Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has said that Jubilee candidate in Kibra constituency by-election MacDonald Mariga is the best candidate to speed up economic and social development in the constituency.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday, Omanga argued that Mariga was the 'real catalyst' for change to the Kibra residents.
The Jubilee Senator further claimed that their candidate would play an important role in ensuring that Kibra attains positive economic and social transformation in the constituency if elected.
"Wanyama Macdonald Mariga is the real catalyst change for Kibra Constituency. He represents the transformational change that will develop Kibra both socially and economically," read part of her post.
Omanga is one of the Jubilee leaders campaigning for Mariga together with Nickson Korir (MP Lang'ata) and George Theuri, MP Embakasi West.
The Kibra campaigns have seen the Jubilee party divided with those allied to the Kielweke faction throwing their weight behind ODM candidate Benard Imran Okoth.
The group comprises of Maina Kamanda (nominated MP) and former Nairobi Woman Representative Rachel Shebesh.
On Sunday, a number of political parties camped in Kibra, canvassing for votes for their respective candidates as the by-election day draws closer.
Jubilee brigade was at Lindi campaigning for Mariga, ANC team were at Kamukunji grounds seeking support for Owalo while ODM held a rally at Laini Saba.
The mini poll is slated for November 7.
