Political analyst Mark Bichachi now says that the Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal case could finally end in convictions.
Speaking on Sunday, the commentator noted that the case, which also involves former National Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich is watertight.
He, therefore, stressed the need for prevention of distractions, at a time when politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto have been questioning Rotich's arrest.
Among the leaders who have questioned it is Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi who has termed it a plot to victimize people deemed close to the DP, which the commentator sharply faulted.
"If we allow the Sudi's of the world to politicize this particular issue then this country is headed to a very bad place. This is one of those cases where every lawyer who has looked at it case says it's a watertight case," he said.
He made the remarks on KTN's Inside Politics, Sunday morning.
Bichachi also cautioned against the unfolding situation where politicians are taking sides, urging the political class to let the law take its course on such matters.
He noted that Rotich's prosecution has nothing to do with his relationship with Uhuru, terming the remarks coming from Ruto's allies as manipulation which might hinder the war on graft.
"When did Rotich stop being Uhuru's friend and became more of Sudi's friend? This is the kind of manipulation that they are trying to do. Let due process go through," he added.
Rotich was on Tuesday arraigned alongside his Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge.
