Kandara MP Alice Wahome has claimed that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) is the cause of the confusion currently being witnessed in the political scene.

Wahome says this is the reason behind the new scene where women politicians are emulating their male colleagues in engaging in the politics of dirty words.

She says that all the fightings in the political scene are as a result of the confusion emanating from President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga-truce.

"All these things are as a result of this thing called BBI," she said on Monday.

This came a day after Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo made unprintable remarks about the Kibra race, during ODM's thanksgiving rally in Kibra, while explaining how ODM won the race.

The MP was trying to explain how  ODM party, through Imran Okoth, defeated Deputy President William Ruto and his candidate McDonald Mariga, in Raila's 'bedroom'.

Days prior, Garissa Woman Representative Anab Subow made vulgar remarks about ODM leader Raila Odinga, terming him unfit to lead.

Wahome now says that women's involvement in the fight is in demand for respect, claiming that men have been insulting them in the process of their politicking.

“You see all these divisions are brought about by this confusion from BBI. And men started these exchanges, why would women remain silent when they are insulted. All we are calling for is mutual respect,” she said.

The attacks have also been based on the two political groupings that are coming out; Kieleweke, which is allied to Uhuru and Raila and the Ruto allied Tanga Tanga team.
