Political analyst Herman Manyora has said that for the country to move forward politically, there are two crucial things that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga need to address.
In an interview with NTV on Tuesday, Manyora said that the two things are feelings of entitlement by one community and other communities feeling betrayed.
According to him, if they fail to address these two concerns, it will be had to address the politics of the country.
"There’s a twin problem in this country that Uhuru and Raila would like to address; the problem of one community feeling that they are entitled and the other community feeling betrayed…unless you address this you will never address the politics of this country," Manyora said
On the other hand, the political analyst also warned those behind the handshake to stop undermining the power of Deputy President William Ruto.
Manyora said that even though the handshake might be working perfectly, it is still difficult to squeeze DP Ruto.
"When the handshake was put into place & a whole machinery was rained on him, the fellows behind the handshake underestimated him (William Ruto) but they realised, William Ruto is difficult and he is not a man you put in the hand and squeeze," Manyora added.
