Political analyst Dennis Anyoka has waded into the controversy around the future of embattled Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu.
Speaking exclusively on K24 Wednesday, Anyoka said that Waititu would continue being the county boss until it is determined that he is not in a position to dispense his duties as governor.
In the event that he is not able to deliver his functions, he will be forced to step aside or the county assembly will move to oust him from office, Anyonka contends.
"However, should he fail to deliver by virtue of that decision, that directive by the plea court, that he cannot access his office, then there will be chances then the question will be whether he can exercise his functions properly as a governor and there will be need for him to step aside or be removed from office by the County Assembly of Kiambu," Anyoka said.
His words come amid growing speculation about the future of Governor Waititu following the self-installation of Deputy Governor James Nyoro as the governor.
Milimani Resident Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi ordered Waititu not to access county premises as he is likely to interfere with the case.
Political observers are watching keenly to see the verdict that will be rendered in the case as it could determine the beleaguered county boss's uncertain political future.
