The two leaders who have not been seeing eye to eye over the weekend struck a truce, declaring that they will work together going forward.

Speaking on Wednesday, Malala said that he is equally ready to support Echesa academically, after the former CS who gas been at the center of mockery over his poor academic credentials announced his return to school.

Asked if he would give Echesa tuition classes, he said that he would happily do it.

"Yeye amesema atasoma na mimi niko hapa kumsaidia. Nitamsaidia kidogo na mambo ya tuition maana nimepitia haya mambo (he has said that he wants to study and I am here to support him. I will help him with tuition, I have some knowledge about this issues)," he said.

The vocal lawmaker was speaking on Milele FM's Kivumbi show on Wednesday morning.

Ironically, he had been among the leaders who have been mocking Echesa for not being learned when he was at the helm of the Sports and National Heritage Ministry.

The two have also declared their support for Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi's 2022 presidential ambitions.
