President Uhuru Kenyatta has received the Barbados Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley.
Uhuru received Mia Amor at State House where the two leaders are set to have a meeting to discuss various issues of national importance.
In a tweet on Wednesday afternoon, State House shared photos of Uhuru receiving him.
''President Kenyatta receives the Rt. Hon. Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados at State House, Nairobi. Prime Minister Mottley, who is on a State Visit to Kenya, has been accorded a full State Reception including a 19-Gun Salute and Guard of Honour mounted by Kenya Army,'' said State House.
Mia Amor's arrival in the country comes just a day after Uhuru concluded the 2 days summit for the 9th African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States.
The meeting was held at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi where various leaders from various countries attended.
Uhuru, who is on his second and last term as head of state has been meeting various leaders from other countries in a bid to strengthen the bond between Kenya and these countries in doing business among various things.
More so, he wants to make sure the country is in a good state when he leaves office, hoping to leave a good legacy behind.
