A section of Kenyans on social media have linked a recent robbery of Sh72 million from G4S officials at Standard Chartered Bank with the viral Hollywood series dubbed Money Heist.
According to a report by the Standard Digital, the robbery which took place on Thursday morning saw robbers posing as police officers get away with 13 sacks of money which were in transit from the G4S headquarters to Standard Chartered Bank in Nairobi West.
The robbers are said to have forced the G4S officials out of the car on arrival at the bank.
Netizens while reacting to the robbery, pointed out striking similarities between the incident and the events in the Money Heist' series.
Some even commented that the robbers may have been inspired by the series which involves careful planning of crimes and usage of minimal violence.
The first season of the Money Heist shows how thieves robbed a museum which manufactures money and successfully got away with millions of money.

A section of the netizens compared the level of risk involved in the Nairobi West robbery and how detailed the plan of the robbers would have been for them to successfully impost as police officers and eventually make away with Sh72 million in broad daylight.
A report from the Standard Media also highlighted that the robbers did not use any force during the robbery.
Kenyans on Twitter could not also help but compare the coincidence of the fact that there is a character named Nairobi in the movie and the fact that the robbery took place at Nairobi West.
